It is the day of the event, we leave the hotel very early (at 7 AM you must already be in the queue for the French start of the shorter routes) it will be a long day, full of emotions that are difficult to repeat. A ride on the “Strade Bianche” perched on a steel bike from 1980, you will have stories to tell your cycling friends for a long time.
You will remember your fellow adventurers, the refreshments with wine and “Ribollita”, the streets that gradually become whiter, the warmth of the people on the route, much more ……… AN HAPPY SUNDAY AT THE EROICA 2021
When darkness is coming: Taverna Pian delle Mura – Vivo Orcia
For dinner we are in the mountains in a village in the chestnut woods on the slopes of the Amiata volcano, we go to a small organic restaurant (awarded Slow Food), where we will taste a very local cuisine based on wild herbs and vegetables, on chestnut flour, on forest mushrooms and local meats. An excellent farewell dinner washed down with Tuscan wine.
Signature dishes: Macaroni with «lying sauce» – Cinta Senese leg with baked apples.
