South Tyrol and Veneto are the wine areas of the Dolomites, they present a great variety of geological and climatic situations which produce about fifteen different vines. Vineyards that thrive between 200 and 1,000 meters above sea level, kissed by the Mediterranean sun and shaped by the alpine landscape.

Main white grapes (excellent aromatic white wines): Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Muscat, Sylvaner, Riesling, Gewürztraminer.

BEST WHITE WINES

Terlaner Grand Cuvee – Grapes: pinot blanc, chardonnay, sauvignon

Elegant wine, perfect balance, remarkable structure and subtle consistency, unmistakable character. It is extremely long and very pleasant. It leaves its mark on memory as an expression of a unique mineral terroir in the world.

Color: bright straw yellow
Nose: rich and complex, multifaceted aromas of citrus, white pepper and aromatic herbs and a delicate smoky note
Taste: elegant and balanced thanks to a fine and important structure and a refined texture with exceptional persistence.

Gewurztraminer «Pirchschrait» Hofstatter – Grape: Traminer Aromatico 100%  –  Expression of the best South Tyrolean terroir.

Color: golden, almost amber-colored
Nose:  large aromas that range from exotic candied fruit, toasted bread, honey, hazelnuts, yellow peaches.
Taste: at the mouthfeel it is intense and rich, with an elegant and full structure, balanced on a fresh component that ends in an infinite aromatic finish.

BEST RED WINES

Guerrieri Gonzaga San Leonardo – Grapes: Bordeaux red blend (cabernet sauvignon/franc and merlot)  —  Complex and full-bodied still red wine , with a wide and intense bouquet, aged in barrels for 24 months.

Color: Intense ruby red with garnet reflections
Nose: Intense and complex, hints of green pepper, aromas of berries and vanilla fragrances
Taste: Full, warm and enveloping, round, with a persistent and very long finish

Foradori Granato – Grape: Teroldego 100%  —  Trento indigenous grape, wine of great cloth and evolved potential

Colour: Intense ruby ​​red with garnet tints
Nose: there are sensations of cherry, currant, blackberry, licorice and spices
Taste: soft, elegant, fresh, mineral and well-integrated tannin

BEST SPARKLING WINES

The southern part of the region is famous for excellent sparkling wines (Trento DOC) based on Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir. Vinified alone or combined. They are worked in the Champenois method and aged several years.
Last and not least the Prosecco area where the most famous sparkling wines in the world are grown. We will dedicate an entire evening to tasting the different types of prosecco.
